Echoing The Kingdom

I’m tired of satan trying to control the body of Christ with scripture that is taken out of context…
Many Pastors and leaders try and use 1 Cor 14:40 to get their congregations to go along with “whatever” is being dished out, just so that they may be comfy with operating in a controlling spirit…

“Let all things be done decently and in order.”

But let’s look at exactly what those words meant when they were written according to Strong’s Greek Dictionary. The result is really quite interesting.
The word “decently” actually means that something is to be done honestly[1],to be well done[2], that the fashion[3] in which it is done is actually to echo[4]:to hold in contiguity or to hold in contact with along one side.

Pretty much sounds like our definition of echo, doesn’t it? What are our church services to echo?

Jesus told us this in Matthew 6:10:

Thy kingdom come. (Which means)Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

The Bible tells us exactly how everything on earth is to be done: As led by the Holy Spirit of God.

There are some things that the Bible gives us explicit directions on how to do, such as 1 Timothy 5:20

Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.

Luke 17:3 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.

2 Timothy 4:2 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.

Titus 1:13 This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;

Titus 2:15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.”

    I believe God is calling us to correction, not more awkward and intimidating ministry! I will be the first to say I church hopped because the ministries I was joining didn’t have enough to offer! If we offer our pastor our words of encouragement and correction would they receive it! Would we be willing to offer it? I think I need to stop church hopping and start church standing! I can do this if my God is with me!!!
