It grieves me that we Christians here in the West are so far removed from what our brothers and sisters are going through in other countries…the suffering and torture for Christ’s sake. As if we are exempt from it. God never said we would not have to suffer. In fact, the Word says otherwise. Are we better than them?? Or even our brothers in sisters in biblical times that lost their lives, yet held on to their testimony of Christ?
Others were tortured and refused to be released so that they might gain a better resurrection. Some faced jeers and flogging, while still others were chained and put in prison. They were stoned; they were sawed in two; they were put to death by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated– the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, and in caves and holes in the ground.
Believers of America…are you really ready for the days to come? Jesus warned us about this.
You will hear of wars and rumors of wars but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.((((( “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me.))))))) At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.
Will you stand firm?
